Thank you for visiting the on-line catalog for The MailboxWorks. The MailboxWorks (MailboxWorks.com, “we”, “us”, or “our”) is an assumed name for and a division of Intermark Enterprises, Inc. and provides its services to you subject to the following terms and conditions.

Terms of Use

By using The MailboxWorks website, you are agreeing to comply with and be bound by the listed terms and conditions. If you do not agree to these terms and conditions, you should not access or use The MailboxWorks website. The MailboxWorks reserves the right at its discretion to change the terms of this agreement and will notify users of any such changes by postings on The MailboxWorks website.

Terms

Orders are prepaid for individuals and new customers. Unless credit is established, payment must be made in full at the time order is placed for all custom orders and prior to shipment for all other orders. Purchase orders are accepted from institutions and government agencies with a satisfactory Dun and Bradstreet rating. All credit orders are due 30 days after date of shipment (NET 30). Other methods of payment include VISA, Master Card, Discover and American Express. For payments by check allow 10 days for processing before custom orders can be manufactured or before products can be shipped.

Prices

Prices and terms are subject to change without notice. All prices are in U.S. dollars. The prices listed do not include applicable taxes or freight unless specifically noted. The MailboxWorks charges sales taxes for items shipped to an Illinois address.

Low Price Guarantee

Where noted, The MailboxWorks guarantees to meet prices on the internet for the exact same product. We reserve the right to meet prices with true brick and mortar stores and when products are not part of closeout sales and/or are not in a limited availability status.

You must call us before your order is placed and provide a verifiable advertised product price plus all the associated shipping and handling fees. When we are asked to meet a lower advertised internet price, we reserve the right to match the competitor’s time estimate for shipping the product to you. Guarantee applies to mailboxes, signage, and drop box products.

Custom Orders

The MailboxWorks takes great pride in assisting customers with custom orders. A customer’s acceptance of a quotation is an indication that the quote has been approved per the specifications listed. The MailboxWorks cannot be held responsible for any discrepancies overlooked by the customer.

Cancellations

All orders are considered a firm order and cannot be canceled without our approval. If you need to cancel an order contact our customer service department for a cancellation number. If product has shipped, or a custom order or special order is in process of being manufactured we will not be able to fulfill your cancellation request. If The MailboxWorks cannot authorize the cancellation of an order the customer will remain responsible for any balance due and the customer will not be entitled to a refund for any monies paid unless such order meets the criteria of our Returned Goods statement below.

Shipping

All products ship at the customer”s expense unless otherwise noted. Orders placed outside the contiguous US may be subject to additional shipping charges. Customers will be notified via email of these charges. Most products are in inventory and leave the warehouse within 24 business hours after receipt of an order unless otherwise noted. Large and/or custom orders vary in shipping times and may be shipped from separate locations. Specific shipping dates cannot be guaranteed. Products are generally sent FED-EX Ground or UPS. Next Day Air and 2nd Day Air are available upon request for some products and at an additional charge. If an order exceeds certain size or weight limitations a common carrier will be used and such packages may arrive on a pallet with shrink wrapping or banding. Common carrier deliveries are made curbside and are not made inside. Inside deliveries can be requested at an additional charge. Customers are responsible for paying all ancillary common carrier service charges (e.g., inside delivery, specific delivery appointments, re-deliveries and lift gate deliveries) that were not prepaid with their order. Once products are delivered to the transportation company they become the property of the customer.

NOTE: Our standard turnaround time to process and ship your order is noted on each product page. Additional time for processing orders with selected options may be noted beside the option (e.g., Allow 1 week). Products are not shipped on Saturdays, Sundays, or holidays. Occasionally we may be out of a particular product or color. If we can not ship the product in approximately the time quoted we will call you and/or send you an e-mail message advising you of the new ship date and giving you the option to cancel your order or select another product that is in stock. If we do not hear back from you in 48 business hours we will process your order with the revised ship date. The information in this paragraph is informational to the customer and in each and every case the statements in the “Shipping” paragraph above prevail.

Damaged Goods and Shortages

Damaged products or shortages must be reported to the carrier. Because each carrier has different limitations on the amount of time that damages must be reported we suggest that this notification be done immediately. Please do the following when you receive packages:

  1. Note any shortages of packages on the carriers delivery receipt, By not reporting damages or shortages on the carrier’s delivery receipt it is likely that you have waived your rights to file a freight claim.
  2. Do a thorough inspection of the packages and note any damages on the carriers delivery receipt. If the package has any damage to it, open the package and immediately do a detailed inspection.
  3. You must report all shortages or any concealed damage to our customer service department no later than seven days after packages are received from the carrier. Customers should repack any damaged goods exactly the way they received them until the items are picked up or inspected by the carrier.

IF YOU RECEIVE DAMAGED GOODS, NOTE THIS ON THE DELIVERY RECEIPT, BUT DO NOT REFUSE THE SHIPMENT!

Returned Goods

Customer satisfaction is our highest priority. In order to assist you with returning or exchanging a product, we do require that you first contact us for a return authorization number. We suggest insuring the return shipment. Products need to be shipped to the warehouse address we provide you with the return authorization number.

So that we can provide you with a refund or exchange we do need to receive the products in sellable condition along with all of their original shipping cartons, and packing material within 30 days of receipt. To avoid damage during shipment, we do suggest you package the products in the same manner in which they were received. Shipping charges are non-refundable. Returns of items shipped to the customer with free shipping will have original outbound shipping costs deducted from the return. Certain select items may be subject to restocking fees. Customized products, orders with options, some special order products, discontinued products, and orders exceeding $1,500.00 will not be accepted for return, exchange or refund.

Installation

Some products require assembly in which case instructions are provided. When products are for USPS access, contact your local post office regarding local approval and installation requirements before purchasing any mailbox product. Contact utility companies before digging. For products that utilize a USPS control lock, customers should contact their local post office to get the lock installed. For products that require build outs or modifications to existing structures we recommend that you have the product on hand before starting such work. Framing materials and fasteners are to be supplied by the customer.

Warranty

The MailboxWorks provides a one year limited warranty to the original purchaser covering defects in material and workmanship if reported to The MailboxWorks within one year of the delivery date. This warranty is limited to the cost of the products and does not include the installation costs, misuse or alterations by the customer, or natural weathering of any finish (e.g., brass tarnishing, copper oxidation, etc.). The MailboxWorks makes no warranty that the products sold are fit for any particular purpose. The MailboxWorks, at its option, may replace or repair defective products. Returned goods will not be accepted without a return authorization number issued by The MailboxWorks and must be shipped freight prepaid to The MailboxWorks.

Product Changes

The MailboxWorks reserves the right to discontinue products, change the configuration, size, materials, colors, finishes, options, or accessories of any product at any time without notice and without incurring liability. Published weights are approximate shipping weights.
